Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most famous role was as Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards to recognize Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock and Martha Bullock, respectively, on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio and she continued her love of the stage. The theatre studies she pursued took place in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was taken at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working by the theater in the Chicago area for a few years prior to trying her hand at television and film roles. Anna got her big break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as a guest star in a handful of TV movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she appeared in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler was the character she played in Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also starred in a four-part audio play podcast called"Numbered Days.. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
